Dr Daniel Hlinka, PhD, IVF Lab Director & Owner of Clayo Clinic, Czechia. Dr Hlinka is a Czech and Slovak embryologist and a pioneer in human assisted reproduction in Central Europe. In 1994, he was responsible for the first child born in Slovakia using ICSI. Over the years, he has played a key role in establishing IVF laboratories across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and was among the first to introduce embryo biopsy for preimplantation genetic testing and time-lapse embryo monitoring in clinical settings. He co-founded Prague Fertility Centre (PFC) and developed the OptimFert method to improve success rates for women with low ovarian reserve. In 2021, he shifted focus to artificial intelligence, developing CATI, a system for automated embryo assessment. In 2023, he opened his own clinic—Clayo Clinic—in Prague, continuing his mission to innovate in the field of reproductive medicine.
